The issue that of the 1947 conflict was the tension between political action and cultural re-action. The Balfour report was basically a capitalization on the cultural estrangement of the Jewish people for political reasons. There was no balance and it could not have possibly been restored through the appeal to some political authority, and it wasn't when the UN saw to solve the problems through it's strict 'political' means. The distance between the Jewish people and the Palestinians is not only a political/ geographical distance, but a difference through a way of life. In conclusion, as long as these borders are present, these times of hate and pain will continue too be present.
