There were many reasons to which the stock market crashed in 1929. I believe the main reason was that investors were allowed to borrow to much money on margin. Everyone had a job throughout the twenties, therefore money was being spent in huge amounts. There was simply too much money being thrown at investors, and they could not return the favour of giving them there money back. When I was making money in the stock market game I felt powerful and rich. However when the crash came along, all of my coal and oil was worthless and I too was worthless. I couldn't imagine what the real life scenario of this would be like for all of the people back in the day. Would we be able to deal with the consequences of a stock market crash in today's world?
